Neil Glen Memorial Shield

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Riverside sports grounds, 5.30 pm for start or 7.15 pm for finish, Monday 26th June

Staff football teams from the University of Dundee and Dundee College will switch off from the World Cup tonight (June 26th) to play out their own keenly contested competition - the Neil Glen Memorial Shield.

This will be the third year that the teams have contested the trophy, which was launched in 2004 as a memorial to the late Mr Glen, a University of Dundee graduate and former member of staff, and also a local city councillor, who died in 2004.

The University team took the honours in the first match before Dundee College levelled matters with a 3-1 win in 2005.
