International Food Evening

Thursday 7 December 2006
Liar Bar at DUSA
5.30 pm photocall

Around 100 students from all over the world will be given the chance to sample each other’s culture and some tasty food at one of the most popular evenings in the University of Dundee’s calendar of social and cultural events for international students, organised by the Student Advisory Service

‘The International Food Evening offers a great opportunity to bring all nationalities together where everyone can learn more about each other’s culture in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere’ said Susan Scott, International Student Support Worker.

Students are encouraged to come along in national dress, and also to bring some music from home with them. The University is home to students from every corner of the globe - around 80 nationalities are represented across the institution - the mix of cultures makes for an event packed with colour.

There will be entertainment from belly dancers, salsa dancers, and a DJ.

The event has been supported by the Queens Hotel, Taza Indian restaurant and China House restaurant.
