New book shop to open on campus

John Smith & Son will be opening a new, purpose built, campus bookshop adjacent to the New Teaching Block later this summer. It will provide an extensive range of relevant textbooks & background reading, including those by University authors, plus a variety of associated products.

John Smith's and the University will also be jointly introducing a new student account card to enable parents, sponsors and others to target funds at learning materials. It will also act as a loyalty card for all card holders and as a discount card for all staff.

University Secretary Dr David Duncan said, "I am delighted that John Smith's will be continuing their long association with the University of Dundee in a new, improved and permanent location and will be able to provide a full, professional bookshop operation again. To support our partnership with them I would encourage all relevant staff to provide John Smith's with their reading list information so that the new shop will open with the best range of books in stock."

Until the new shop opens in August there will be no physical shop on campus but John Smith's will have staff on site making preparations for the launch. Staff wishing to contact them about reading list information, or any other matter, should email them on dd@johnsmith.co.uk.
