Placement Basement opens

A new "one-stop-shop" for internships and work experience placements aimed at both students and employers has been set up by the Careers Service.

The Placement Basement, located below the Careers Service offices at 166 Nethergate, is aimed at improving the employability of students after graduation.

"The Pacement Basement is open to students, employers and academic staff," said Employer Relations Coordinator Karen Sleith, who is part of the Employer Liaison Team.

"We are here to facilitate all aspects of the internship programme and to offer support and advice to students and employers."

Drop in sessions run from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Other times are also available by appointment. For more information contact Karen at the Placement Basement or at k.l.sleith@dundee.ac.uk.
