26 April - Family Fun Day
Botanic Garden
Cost - Normal entry charges apply; Time - 10.00am to 4.00pm
Join us for our annual fun and games, we have all the old favourites - pot a plant, face painting and storytelling. DBS Productions (a new local theatre group who performed at Halloween and last year's Family Fun Day) will be performing a variety of classic nursery rhymes. The Art Shack will be doing a craft workshop. Come along and see the Beekeepers and the Countryside Rangers.
2 May - Dave Gorman: America Unchained
7pm Mono, The Union, Airlie Place
Dave Gorman, one of Britain's most successful comedians, will be talking about his efforts to travel across the USA without patronising any corporate or chain-style businesses. All money raised from the show will be donated to the Diabetes Research Campaign.

9 May - Churchill Commemoration Lecture
Andrew Roberts, Churchill and his Detractors
6pm, Main Lecture Theatre, New Teaching Block
To commemorate the centenary of Winston Churchill as a Dundee MP the University and the city of Dundee will join forces to host a joint lecture to explore the life and achievements of one of the greatest Britons. Historian and Churchill expert, Andrew Roberts will present a fascinating picture of the sometimes controversial politician and the impact that he made, not just in Dundee, but across the world and why despite remarkable life and achievements he still garners significant criticism.

17-24 May - Dundee Degree Show 2008
Students from all disciplines at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design and the School of Architecture will present their work at this annual display of talent. The show takes place throughout the two buildings and fourteen floors that form Duncan of Jordanstone.

Join Education Officer Dr Neil Paterson at the University of Dundee Botanic Garden for a guided tour through the history of plants on earth, from green algae to grasses.

After a hugely successful first exhibition at this venue the Spectra group are back to exhibit their most recent embroidery work.

A special collaborative exhibition by the University of Dundee Museum Services and the Department of Special Collections, University of St Andrews, as part of the celebrations to mark 500 Years of Printing in Scotland.
