Ladies Club

At the recent AGM of the Dundee University Ladies' Club, the President, Dr Kathy Kernohan, presented cheques of £500 each to Sharon Sweeney from the Student Advisory Service for the student hardship fund and Graeme Stevenson, the University Music Co-ordinator, on behalf of the club members.

Graeme Stevenson thanked the Ladies' Club most sincerely for their generous gift and said their donation had made possible the purchase of music for a number of University music groups which will enhance their concerts throughout the coming year.

Accepting the donation from Kathy, Sharon Sweeney thanked the Ladies' Club in acknowledging the modern situation of student finance and assured them that the money would be most helpful in supporting students during the forthcoming academic year.

The University Ladies' Club first met in October 1928 and continues to offer friendship and social activities to those in some way connected or new to the University. All ladies who are members of staff or wives of staff at the University of Dundee are welcome to join.
