Dundee literary salons

A series of literary salons developed by the University's Chair of Creative Writing, Kirsty Gunn will continue at DCA in the New Year with some top name writers and agents.

Alan Bissett will be first on the bill with a discussion on the highs and lows of writing and a reading from his new work on Wednesday 30 January 2008. On Wednesday 27 February Scottish writer Alan Spence will be discussing his bestselling novel Pure Land as well some of his other works while on Wednesday March 19 literary agent Clare Conville will be highlighting what she's looking for in a manuscript and what it is about a book that makes it take off.

All events take place at DCA between 4pm and 6pm. Admission is free but places are limited so early booking is advisable. Contact DCA on 01382 909 900 or ask at the box office.
