'Scotland and Medicine' nominated for UK's biggest arts prize
Scotland and Medicine: Collections & Connections is one of 10 museums and galleries long-listed for the £100,000 Gulbenkian Prize.
The University of Dundee was one of the founding partners of the Science & Medicine project, which brings together the leading medical museum, archive and library collections in Scotland. Matthew Jarron, Curator of Museum Services, is a member of the board of management. The project promote's Scotland's significant role in the history of medicine.
A shortlist of four museums will be announced in April 2007. The winner will be announced on Thursday May 24 at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London during Museum and Galleries Month 2007.
