Historic alliance between Dundee and Dublin
The 6th Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Association for Human Identification was the
setting for a formal alliance between the units of forensic anthropology at the University of
Dundee and University College Dublin.
Professor of Anatomy Forensic Anthropology Sue Black explains, "We have a memorandum of
understanding that the staff of the unit at Dundee will assist those in Dublin to achieve
professional competence and recognition in the discipline. The Dundee:Dublin relationship is the
first part of a support mechanism in this subject that will ultimately lead to an international
network of universities that offer fully integrated degree programmes that are open to the exchange
of both staff and students.
