Queen honours professors

The work of staff from the School of Life Sciences has been acknowledged with awards presented at Buckingham Palace.

Professor Peter Downes received an OBE for services to life sciences in the Queen's Birthday honours list, but collected his award at the end of last year. Professor Cheryll Tickle was awarded a CBE in the New Year's honours list for services to biology.
