Indian High Commissioner to open new exhibition
Links between Dundee and the Indian subcontinent will be celebrated by an exhibition in the
Tower Foyer, which will be opened by the Indian High Commissioner on 22 February.
The exhibition will highlight the enduring connection between India and Dundee. As these pictures
show this connection was established and reinforced during the 19th and 20th centuries by the
cultivation of West Bengal jute for use in Dundee factories.
The exhibition will run until 20 March.
