From witch trials to Nike trainers
The lighthouse in Glasgow and Nike stores throughout the country are the venues which are currently
showcasing work by Donna Leishman and Peter Richardson, the School of Television and Imaging's latest
appointments.
Donna and Peter are adding their cutting edge new media and film making skills to the existing expertise
in TVI. Donna, an award-winning New Media artist, has taken up the post of Programme leader for the BA
(Hons) Illustration course, and Peter has been appointed as programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Time Based
Art course.
Donna's current show at the Lighthouse, Scotland's national centre for architecture, includes a
retrospective of her interactive and narrative projects, plus an animated tale set in 1696 at the height
of the Scottish witch trials. The exhibition runs until 28 November
Peter joined DJCAD having just completed work on the latest Nike film, entitled 'Rise Don't Fall',
currently being aired in Nike stores. The film features six of the country's finest female athletes and
aims to promote training and exercise in the autumn months.
