University Christmas card 2004

The festive season will soon be upon us and what better way to pass on your best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to friends and colleagues than with a University Christmas card?

This year the Christmas card has both visual and literary links with the University. The image on the card (illustrated below) and the text featured on the inside have been taken from Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney's Room to Rhyme - a hard-back volume which contains the full text of the Greatest Minds Lecture delivered by Heaney during graduation week in 2003.

The book contains specially commissioned illustrative images by artist Brigid Collins, a tutor in the School of Design at DJCAD, and was designed by David Herbert, DJCAD’s Graphic Design Course Director. The photographs are by Douglas McBride.
