Trek for diabetes

Former lecturer Dr Lawrence Williams has successfully completed his solo 1400 mile Alpine trek - which raised around £4,000 for diabetes research.

The money has been donated to the research being carried out by Dr Steve Greene, who cared for Lawrence's daughter when she was diagnosed with the condition. Dr Williams planned the marathon trek from Vienna to Nice as a way of saying thank you and supporting the group’s research and development work.
