Three new fellows
Three of the University’s academics have recently been elected to the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
They are Jerry Lambert, Professor of Neuropharmacology, Eric Wright, Professor of Experimental Haematology,
both from the Medical School, and Kees Weijer, Professor of Developmental Physiology in the School of Life
Sciences.
Principal Sir Alan Langlands said, "I am delighted for our three new fellows on their election to the Royal
Society of Edinburgh. It is affirmative of the ground breaking research that we are doing at the University
for our academics to be recognised by such an influential society which supports and promotes leading edge
research in Scotland."
