University Principal Sir Alan Langlands and Dundee Depute Lord Provost Charles Farquhar have hosted a reception for newly arrived international students.
Over 150 students, who have come to Dundee from China, Malaysia, Korea, Nigeria, India, USA, Canada and Singapore were welcomed at the first of many events to be held over the course of the year.
The University’s Student Advisory Service has organised city and campus tours, information sessions on health and safety and the buddy scheme, pairing international students with UK students and staff.
A number of social and cultural events will also be organised throughout the session for the students and their families including ceilidhs, an international food evening and a Christmas shopping event.
To give the students a taste of the stunning Scottish landscape, the Student Advisory Service will also accompany a group on a weekend break to Skye and sightseeing trips to Edinburgh and Glamis Castle.
