The development of a coastal management plan for the Tay estuary was the subject of a recent meeting of the Tay Estuary Forum at the West Park Centre.
Members of the forum, including projects officer Katriona Finan from the University, discussed the most pressing issues relating to this area of Scotland’s longest river, including the effects of rising sea levels and coastal erosion; wind power generation and improving recreation on and around the estuary.
Katriona said, "The session provided an opportunity to gain a wider perspective of the issues concerning delegates by facilitating networking and encouraging exchanges in opinion and discussion of the major issues facing the estuary."
