University Principal Sir Alan Langlands and Mike Webster, Principal of Perth College, recently signed a formal articulation agreement between the University and the College. The agreement outlines a number of pathways for students to gain direct access to second and third year of degree programmes. Successful Perth College students on a range of HNC and HND courses, including several science-based courses can look forward to guaranteed places on degree programmes at the University of Dundee.
Mike Webster said, "The links between the two institutions go back several years and this new formal agreement means more choices are now available to local students. It is all about improving opportunities for students".
The University now has accelerated entry agreements with Dundee College, Glenrothes College, Angus College and Perth College. Viv Urquhart, director of the flexible programmes development unit is currently working to develop new partnership arrangements with other local colleges in Fife.
