A UK wide conference exploring therapeutic approaches to working with young people will be hosted by the faculty of education and social work this September in the West Park conference centre.
Elinor Vettraino and Martin Williams want to attract practitioners from a variety of fields including teaching, social work, care workers, play leaders, youth and community workers to share best practice in therapeutic approaches to working with children.
The conference will consist of twenty five workshops looking at drama, art, story, music and focus on families among other themes. There will also be speakers from across the UK.
Elinor Vettraino will be leading one of the workshops on how drama in the classroom can explore difficult topics in a safe environment such as using drama workshops to look at health or drug issues.
The conference will take place on 5-7 September. Enquiries to e.o.vettraino@dundee.ac.uk
