Hockey golds in Vienna
Three members of the University's excel sports scholarship squad clinched gold medals at the European hockey club championships in Vienna beating Irish team Pegasus in the final.
Linsey Thomson, a business studies student, Sarah Dallas, a medic and Carmin Dow, who studies physiology are all players with the Bonagrass Grove Ladies hockey club - Scotland's team in the tournament.
All three scholars are members of the Scottish U/21 squad who are in preparation for the Celtic Cup and European championships that take place in July and August respectively.
Kirsteen Cruickshanks sports scholarship co-ordinator said: "This is an outstanding opportunity for the scholars to perform with world class athletes. All the students' faculties have been very understanding and co-operative in negotiating flexible study to allow them to compete in the championships."
