Three new profs

Three new personal chairs in the school of life sciences have been awarded to (l-r) Bill Hunter, Mike Stark and Julian Blow in recognition of their leading work in their fields.

Dr Blow has been awarded a personal chair of chromosome maintenance, Dr Hunter accedes to a personal chair of structural biology and Dr Stark takes up his appointment to his personal chair of yeast molecular biology.

Principal Sir Alan Langlands said of the new three at University Court: "I've never seen such a high standard of international references. These are the stars of the future without doubt."
