Undergraduate prize givings took place in the faculty of law and accountancy, the school of life sciences and the division of applied computing at the start of term to recognise the excellent results of students in last year's degree exams.
Three students scooped hat tricks in accountancy - Gavin Black, Susan MacAulay and Joe Williams while two budding lawyers Lucia Polanski and Adam Balfour won double awards in law.
The school of life sciences presented its prizes to undergraduates on the Wellcome Trust Building's 5th birthday, awarding a total of 36 prizes. In applied computing, NCR donated 18 prizes for computing ability and achievement.
