Research and innovation services has secured funding to subscribe the University to a unique online funding and news service for research staff.
Researchresearch.com gives the researcher access to a comprehensive database of funding sources and opportunities across all disciplines.
Staff will be able to set up customised alerts on their own areas of research and subscribe to a range of email newsletters - Research Fortnight, Research Europe and Research Day.
Research Fortnight covers research policy, funding and politics. Its brief is to report on anything that affects researchers and bills itself as the leading source for research news, views, opinions and funding opportunities.
Research Day and Research Europe provide a digest of news to keep track of the UK research world and European research policy and funding, especially Framework 6.
The Funding database has been designed to be easy to use for occasional users but offers complex search options for regular users.
Funding opportunities can be browsed by funder, type of funding, source of funding e.g. research council or commercial, by deadline.
Other facilities include the ability to collect information and distribute it to colleagues in the form of a magazine. This could be especially useful for staff with a research co-ordination role.
