Ronnie Forbes from the school of fine art will present the University with one of his own paintings as a parting gift to the University after nearly 20 years of teaching.
Ronnie, who was a popular tutor in fine art, is following in a tradition set by previous artists retiring or moving from the college - leaving a piece of their own original artwork for the college collection.
At a presentation lunch on 2 December, Bill Barr, deputy principal and former dean of Duncan of Jordanstone will receive the painting entitled "Venus mourning Adonis". Ronnie is now working as a full time artist and launches an anthology of his work called "Riddles and puzzles" this week. The anthology can be found at www.ronald-forbes.com
