Rector's assessor
Law graduate, former City Councillor, DCA director and chair of Dundee drugs forum, Shona Main is adding another string to her bow as she takes up the position of Rector's assessor this week.
Shona: "Having been a student at the University and a local councillor I have had the benefit of seeing the University from the inside and from the City's perspective. There were many student in my constituency who I enjoyed representing. I am keenly aware of the issues facing students today. Dundee University is the heartbeat of the city - the return of the students in October always adds a whole new dimension to city life. I look forward to assisting Fred in his important role as the students' Rector."
Shona graduated in 1997 with her law degree and 1999 with a diploma in legal practice, she was city councillor for Logie ward, Westend and is now self-employed in parliamentary and governmental liaison for organisations which want to play a part in the democratic decision making process.
