photograph of Mary Lily WalkerThis exhibition marks the centenary of the death of Mary Lily Walker. One of the first cohort of students at University College, Dundee, Walker became the prime mover behind the Dundee Social Union and a pioneering social reformer, campaigning to improve the lives of the poorest in Dundee, particularly working women and their children.

The exhibition has been designed by Brett Housego with research by Suzanne Zeedyk and Pete Kinnear. It accompanies a new biography of Walker published by Dundee University Press and written by Edward Small.
