This special exhibition focuses on the extraordinary printing history of Dundee-based publishers D C Thomson & Co Ltd. It explores the history of some of its famous newspapers, magazines and comics and how their printing methods have changed over the years, and features a wealth of material never before exhibited in public loaned from D C Thomson & Co Ltd and other public and private collections. From the first issue of the Dundee Advertiser to the first issue of Bunty, from early colour separation proofs of the Dandy to unique photos of the company's printing technology through the ages, the exhibition provides a fascinating glimpse at what has gone on behind the scenes to create the publications readers have enjoyed over the years.

The exhibition has been created as part of Print Festival Scotland to accompany the Impact 8 conference at the University of Dundee. It is a partnership between D C Thomson & Co Ltd, the University of Dundee Museum Services and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design.
