These stunning works of art were designed by Dr Paul Pfurtscheller (1855-1927) and published first in Leipzig and Vienna and then in the Hague. 36 of the 39 were published by 1926. The University Museum Collections currently hold six examples of the series.

A guide to the anatomy of the Roman Snail. Figure 3 shows the gut and Figure 4 the nervous system.

The anatomy of the common Frog. Figure 2 gives details of the urino-genital system, while Figure 3 shows the eardrum and airsacs.
