In the 1910s Franz Frohse (University of Berlin) created a series of anatomical wall charts which became widely used internationally because of their accuracy and clarity. When the First World War inter-rupted supplies to America, the original drawings were edited by Max Brodel of John Hopkins University, who continued to add to the series up to 1939.
