As part of Scotland’s Year of History, Heritage & Archaeology, this exhibition draws on the extensive collections of the University to present a stimulating variety of artworks inspired by our ancient and recent past. From archaeological artefacts and ancient buildings to personal family history and collective memory, artists have drawn on many aspects of the past for inspiration.
The exhibition includes work by Ian Hamilton Finlay, Calum Colvin, Philip Reeves and James Howie among many others.
