Avem: A Journey with Birds

A new exhibition of drawings and screen-prints by Lara Scouller

Lara graduated with a fine art degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 2006. This exhibition sees Lara returning to the university to show a selection of recent drawings and screen-prints which were inspired by her time on the John Busby Seabird Drawing Course earlier this year.

The body of work Lara has built up over the last decade has given her significant experience working directly from ‘still-life’ in museum collections such as ours. AVEM: a journey with birds marks a new phase in her development, moving forwards into other ways of working, immersing herself in the birds' natural habitat.
