An exhibition of contemporary art, historical objects and scientific case studies that consider how gender can be ‘seen’ or ‘positioned‘ in the world, and the effect of these perceptions on science.  

It features art works by Kira O’Reilly & Jennifer Willet, Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay, Clara Ursitti and Ker Wallwork and selected objects from the museum collections at the University of Dundee.

A display of Professor Londa Schiebinger’s project Gendered Innovations demonstrates how accounting for sex and gender in the scientific process affects results.

Curated by Cicely Farrer for LifeSpace in collaboration with Athena SWAN and with support from colleagues in School of Life Sciences. 

The exhibition continues a discussion started during events in Summer 2018 titled "Doing Science in a Gendered World".
