Helen Chadwick (1953-1996) is remembered as one of Britain’s foremost conceptual artists. She studied at Chelsea School of Art, and worked across media, often making work about the body and images of women in society. She taught at the Royal College of Art, Chelsea School of Art and the London Institute. Nominated for the Turner Prize in 1987 her work is held in collections including the Tate Collection, the V&A Museum, the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, and the Museum of Modern Art, NY.
