An exhibition of new work by Level 3 Illustration students created in response to ‘mystery’ archive boxes curated by the staff at the University of Dundee Archive Services. The 32 individual boxes brought to light a diverse range of materials and themes for the students to explore, such as books, records, photographs, maps, plans, technical drawings & objects. Themes included architecture, medicine, transport & travel, textile and whaling industries, local estates, social history etc. This exciting collaborative project and exhibition highlights the archive collections as a rich resource for education and artistic practice.
The Matthew Entrance Galleries are located at the main entrance of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design over Level 1 & 2.
