'Hoody' sculpture commissioned
A North East council has commissioned a one and a half thousand pound sculpture of a hoody wearing youth. Hoodies came to the public's attention just a few months ago after shopping centres tried to ban them. Student Des Smith from Dundee University's Duncan of Jordanstone school of Art won the commission to produce his sculpture from Angus Council. He says he hopes it will start a healthy debate about issues of youth.

Maryland considers expanding use of power dredging for oysters

DENTSPLY International Inc. today announced a long-term collaborative agreement with IDMoS Dental Systems Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of IDMoS plc for the commercialization of IDMoS' caries detection and monitoring technology.
