Dundee has secured another major international conference with the news that the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is to hold an event in the city. Dr Martyn Jones, senior lecturer at Dundee University's School of Nursing and Midwifery, helped bring the conference to the city.

Doctor passes on life-saving skills
A Dundee doctor has just returned from the city's twin town of Nablus, where she passed on vital life-saving skills. Dr Justine Davies who works in Ninewells Hospital and lectures at Dundee University, visited Palestine last month to train nurses in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Dundee event embraces international talent
Plans to encourage international students to stay in Scotland on completion of their studies will be aired in Dundee on Monday night. Scottish Executive representatives Andrea McLeish and Sajdai Ali front the "Introduction to Fresh Talent Working in Scotland Scheme" in the city’s London Night Club from 6pm until 8pm. Supported by a host of local organisations, the evening has been organised by Dundee University, the university's Young Entrepreneur Society and International Student Advisory Society and Business Gateway.

Renouned artist returns to Dundee
A world-renowned Danish artist has returned to Dundee to exhibit his sculpture simply called waterfall. Olafur Eliasson made his UK debut at the Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre and is returning six years on to showcase his latest work.
