Lord Robertson returns to his alma mater

Lord Robertson of Port Ellen, former Secretary General of NATO, will return to his alma mater at the University of Dundee on November 7th to deliver the Institute for Transatlantic, European and American Studies' Annual Lecture.

The lecture is titled, "The Future of Transatlantic Relations", and will tap into the experience gained from working at the very highest levels of Government and international security.

Lord Robertson served as the 10th Secretary General of NATO, holding the position from 1999 to 2003. He was also Chairman of the North Atlantic Council. He was Defence Secretary of the United Kingdom from 1997-1999 and Member of Parliament for Hamilton and Hamilton South from 1978-1999.

Lord Robertson studied at the University of Dundee, graduating MA (Honours) in Economics in 1968.

The ITEAS Annual Lecture takes place at the Bonar Hall, University of Dundee, at 7.15 pm on Monday November 7th.
