Mr Anthony Wong, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology of the Hong Kong SAR Government, will be at the University of Dundee as part of a UK visit to develop global partners for research and development.

Mr Wong will be shown the University's Visual Research Centre, based within Dundee Contemporary Arts, before being given a tour of the main campus and in particular the newly completed Queen Mother Building, home to the Division of Applied Computing.

The Division of Applied Computing at the University of Dundee carries out research across four main areas - assistive and healthcare technologies, computational research, space technology and interactive systems design.

The Division contains one of the largest and most influential academic groups in the world researching into information technology for older and disabled people. It has over thirty researchers with a unique blend of disciplines including computer engineers, psychologists, therapists, creative designers and staff who have benefited from interdisciplinary careers.

The Visual Research Centre is a unique facility, part of the University of Dundee, dedicated to practice-led research. It is home to research staff and students from the Schools of Architecture, Design, Fine Art and Television & Imaging.
