Professor Colin Blakemore, Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Research Council is in Dundee today to take part in an open forum to explore medical research priorities in Scottish Universities.
The University of Dundee is hosting the event in Dundee's Apex Hotel with over 100 of its own life scientists, medical researchers, clinicians, dentists and nursing lecturers attending the event.
Aberdeen, Strathclyde, Abertay, St Andrews, Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian, Edinburgh and Stirling Universities will all be represented to take part in the Scottish debate on medical research priorities.
The lunchtime meeting will run from 11am until 1pm.
