International law lecture

The department of law at the University of Dundee will welcome Professor Thomas Franck from New York University school of law to lecture on "Legitimacy and Fairness in International Law" on Wednesday 23 May.

Professor Thomas M Franck is Murry and Ida Becker Professor of Law and Director of the Centre of International Studies at New York University School of Law. He has been the Director of the International Law Program of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and the Director of Research of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. In recognition of his work, he has been awarded the Certificate of Merit in the American Society of International Law on four occasions, as well as the Christopher Medal, the John E Read Medal by the Canadian Council of International Law, and the Wolfgang Friedmann Memorial award for outstanding contributions to the field of international law.

The lecture will take place at 4pm in the Moot Court Room in the law department at the University of Dundee. The lecture is free and open to the public.ENDS
