20 September - 24 October: Deviants Exhibiton
Deviants presents curious works that deviate wildly from what we think of as traditional craft. We are presented with playful, mischievous and bizarre aberrations of familiar objects including pieces by Jill Crowley, Carol McNicoll, Richard Slee and Hans Stofer. Accompanying the exhibition is an alternative gallery guide written by the Dundee-based writer and artist The Lonely Piper. This is a Crafts Council Touring Exhibition and has been selected by the ‘Past, Present and Future Craft Practice’ research team who are exploring new directions, practices and perspectives in contemporary craft and are based at the University of Dundee .
