'Welfare in the New Scotland' - 5 Million Questions public event

* 6pm, Monday 18th November, Steps Theatre, Dundee

What will, and should, become of welfare provision in Scotland in the event of a 'Yes' vote in the independence referendum? And, just as importantly, what will happen if the referendum result is a 'No'?

In the latest event in the University of Dundee's 5 Million Questions project, a panel of welfare experts and MSPs will examine the welfare issues of Scotland and how welfare policy could change after the referendum, whatever the outcome.

The panel includes:

  • Shona Robison MSP
  • Michael McMahon MSP
  • John Dickie, Director of Child Poverty Action Group
  • Mary Kinninmonth, Director of Citizens Advice Bureau Dundee
  • Dr Nicola McEwen, Senior Lecturer in Politics, University of Edinburgh

Tickets to this public event are free but limited, and are available from the reception of the Central Library, Wellgate Centre. Registration is also available online at: www.eventbrite.co.uk.

5 Million Questions has been established to examine the many issues around Scotland's constitutional debate, stimulating wider discussion, applying academic rigour to examination of the issues, and engaging with the public on all aspects of the major questions they are facing.
