Fifteen graduates of the University of Dundee will exhibit their work at next year's New Contemporaries show at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh.

New Contemporaries has established itself as the most prestigious showcase for young artists and architects in Scotland since its inception in 2009. It will open at the RSA Galleries on The Mound from 15th February to 12th March. Presenting work across a wide range of media, the carefully curated exhibition offers a unique opportunity to see the best of Scotland's emerging talent under one roof.

Art graduates have been chosen for the 2014 show on the strength of their Degree Show exhibits at each of the country's five main colleges of art, including 15 from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD), part of the University.

They are: Daniel Shay, Dorian Braun, Jack Paton, Calum and Fraser Brownlee (joint exhibition), Florence Gordon, Gabriele Jogelaite, Jonny Lyons, Ewan McClure, Ross Weryk, Matthew Wilson, Jonathan Douglas, Pawel Grzyb, Sam Baxter, and Morgan Cahn.

Professor Calum Colvin, Art and Media Programme Director at DJCAD, said, 'The standard of work produced this year in Art and Media at DJCAD was astonishingly high, the best in recent memory.

'The staff are justifiably proud of all the students achievements, but are particularly looking forward to the students selected for the New Contemporaries re-presenting their work at the RSA in Edinburgh next year.'

New Contemporaries reflects the RSA's commitment to supporting and presenting the best contemporary work in Scotland. The RSA team works closely with the artists and architects towards developing a lasting relationship in the lead up to the exhibition and beyond.

With thousands of pounds worth of monetary awards made in addition to residency, studio and purchase prizes, the development of this exhibition is an important initiative for emerging artists in Scotland, enabling a 'first exhibition' opportunity for emergent artists annually.

Works will be for sale and the exhibition offers patrons the opportunity to invest in Scotland's up and coming talent.

New Contemporaries will be open at the RSA, The Mound, Edinburgh, from 15th February to 12th March.
