'Alternative' fundraising event for Dundee charity

PAMIS, the award-winning, University of Dundee-based charity, will have their coffers boosted next month after a fundraising event sold out within days of tickets going on sale.

The event, dubbed 'An Alternative Burns Supper' takes place at Chambers East on Saturday, 4th February. Some quirky additions to Burns supper traditions are planned, which staff from PAMIS say are sure to make the evening one to remember.

PAMIS works with people with profound and multiple disabilities and their carers. As the needs of people who face these kind of challenges remain relatively unknown, the battles that they and their families face on a daily basis are ongoing.

PAMIS has been widely recognised for its work in the past, and celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2012

The event is being organised by Along Came Kirsty, a new organisation dedicated to supporting charities and other good causes formed by Kirsty Thomson, a former member of PAMIS staff. The company will officially be launched at the An Alternative Burns Supper, the first Along Came Kirsty-organised fundraising event.
