The University of Dundee's School of Business will tomorrow celebrate the achievements and hard work of their graduates at a special Graduation Party and Prizegiving Ceremony

A total of 38 honours will be conferred on students at the event, which will take place from 3pm on Wednesday, 16th November at the Bonar Hall. Among the prizewinners are five Masters students who will be receiving their degrees during the University's Winter Graduation ceremony at the Caird Hall that morning. The afternoon party will allow prizewinners to celebrate their awards with family, friends and classmates.

Professor Christine Helliar, Dean of the School of Business, said the event would be attended by several of the employers that the School enjoys close relationships with.

'This is an important final event for our students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, before they embark on their professional careers,' she said.

'Many of our graduands have already found jobs in accounting, finance and other sectors and we look forward to hearing from them in the future and to share their successes. We are delighted that the prize sponsors are able to join us on this special occasion - they help us encourage good performance and acknowledge the success of our students.'

Alan Trotter, Finance Director at Alliance Trust will be the special guest as the ceremony, and will present several of the awards. Representatives of other employers attending the event include Lauren McIlroy, Senior Associate (Audit) at Deloittes, Jenny Law, HR and Training Manager at eQ Chartered Accountants, and George Hay, partner at Henderson Loggie.
