Jonathan Falla to launch new series of literary Salons
Leading figures from the world of literature have been lined up for the new season of Dundee’s highly popular Literary Salons, which begin tomorrow.
Author Jonathan Falla will kick off the 2010 series of Salons, organised by Literary Dundee, when he takes to the hot seat, to discuss his novels and many other projects.
This event will take place in Braes, Perth Road, Dundee from 5pm on Thursday, September 30th, and is open to everyone. Wine and juice will be served and the event is free.
The event is hosted by Literary Dundee, an organisation which links the University of Dundee with the community to help promote arts and literature. The Salon will be chaired by Zoe Venditozzi, herself a product of the University’s Creative Writing programme.
'Being a successful writer often involves juggling a number of projects and keeping a range of literary balls in the air at the same time,' she said. 'I’d encourage anyone with a love of literature to come and hear how one such successful writer does just that as Jonathan Falla reads from the variety of his current work and talks about the many possibilities that are out there for all of us in our writing lives.'
