Freshers’ Week January 2010
Hundreds of new postgraduate and undergraduate students will matriculate at the University of Dundee on Monday, January 11th, 2010.
The University community will be bolstered by the new arrivals, including dozens of students from overseas, who will be studying courses as varied as Law, Accountancy, and Nursing.
Professor Pete Downes, Principal of the University, will officially welcome the new intake to the University at the Dalhousie Building at 1pm.
'We have British and international students joining us to begin their studies in January,' said Dr Kathleen McMilllan, director of Personal Learning for University Success (PLUS@Dundee).
She continued, 'We have planned a Freshers’ Week that will give all our new students the chance to explore the city and the campus as well as participate in activities that will prepare them for their studies.'
All new undergraduates and postgraduates are invited to a Welcome Reception in Bonar Hall on Tuesday, January 12th, where they will have the chance to meet academic and other key staff.
