Cancellation of Dundee Christmas Lecture 2010

The University of Dundee has announced the regrettable cancellation of the Dundee Christmas Lecture 2010, featuring novelist Alexander McCall Smith.

The lecture, which had been scheduled to take place from 6pm at the Dalhousie Building on Friday, 3rd December, has fallen victim to the persistently severe weather that has engulfed the UK over the past week.

Mr McCall Smith has kindly agreed to visit Dundee for a rearranged event at the earliest possible convenience, meaning a belated lecture will take place in 2011. The date of this event will be announced early in the New Year.

The Christmas lecture is held in conjunction with Dundee City Council and was inaugurated in 2007 to commemorate the University's 40th anniversary and its close relationship with the city of Dundee and its people.
