University welcomes visitors from Dasman Diabetes Institute
The University of Dundee is this week hosting a visit from representatives of the Dasman Diabetes Institute, Kuwait, as the two institutions continue to build links.
The visit to Dundee is being hosted by Professor Andrew Morris, Professor of Medicine at the University of Dundee.
'This visit builds on previous events in Kuwait which have been very successful and we look forward to further developing strong links with the Dasman Institute,' said Professor Morris.
The University of Dundee has been hailed as a 'world-leading centre' for research into diabetes and is home to the Dundee Diabetes Research Centre, which hosts over 25 research teams engaged in diabetes research, ranging from the study of single molecules to complex clinical studies.
The vision of the Dasman Institute for the Research, Training and Prevention of Diabetes and
Related Disorders (www.dasmaninstitute.org) is to be one of the leading comprehensive research and treatment facilities in its field and to contribute to the improvement of the health of future generations in Kuwait and the Middle East as a whole.
