College of Life Sciences Student Awards

Students at the College of Life Sciences, University of Dundee who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance will be formally congratulated for their work at the a prize-giving ceremony today, Friday 9 November.

This annual event celebrates the remarkable achievements of students from the last academic year.

Among the students to attain special recognition for their hard work and dedication is Rachel Long, from Dundee, who has consistently achieved top grades in her Honours Degree in Physiology and Sports Biomedicine, while being a single-parent to her little boy.

Rachel’s family who have always been supportive of her and will be attending the ceremony in which they will celebrate Rachel receiving the Armistead Bursary, the Roger Booth Prize and the Stephen Williamson Prize.

The Dean of the School of Learning and Teaching, Dr. Jim Elliot said, "Once again we are proud to celebrate the substantial achievements of our students who represent the most accomplished young minds Dundee has to offer."
